Our team will work with you every step of the way to ensure the entire process is easy and rewarding. We utilize the latest technologies and offer a variety of treatment options to give you the individualized, custom orthodontic care you deserve. We want to see every single patient walk out of our office with a smile!
The initial consultation
Your free initial consultation gives you the opportunity to meet Dr. Varone and our team, review treatment options for your specific case, receive a complete initial exam, and ask any questions you have about what to expect on your orthodontic journey. We are happy to provide you with all of the information needed to determine the right treatment for you.
During the initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history
- Do a complete oral exam, including X-rays and a 3-D iTero scan, to see what treatment will be recommended for your case
- Create a custom orthodontic treatment plan that best suits your individual case and lifestyle
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
The First Appointment
After the initial consultation, you’ll be on your way to achieving your perfect smile! If you are ready to begin treatment, we will complete or schedule your first appointment, at which we will take your preliminary records and digital impressions of your teeth.
Digital impressions are taken using the iTero Element Digital Scanner, a state-of-the-art digital scanning system that eliminates the need for unpleasant traditional alginate impressions (no more yucky putty in your mouth). With this intraoral scanning system, we digitally capture a detailed, 3D model of your teeth and gums to be used throughout the duration of your treatment. It’s not only a far more comfortable solution, but is much faster and more precise than the old putty-based impressions.
Next Appointments
After the first appointment, your next appointment will be scheduled for Dr. Varone to place your orthodontic appliance(s). This appointment generally takes about an hour and our team will be available throughout the process to make sure you are comfortable and everything runs smoothly.
All consecutive appointments will be scheduled according to your specific treatment plan as determined by Dr. Varone.
Scheduling Appointments
Regular visits are an important part of the orthodontic treatment process in order to make adjustments and monitor your progress. Our team will work with you based on your schedule to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you and our friendly receptionists will assist you.
Cancellations
We understand, life happens! However, if you are running late or need to reschedule, we ask that you please let us know as soon as possible so that we can work to accomodate you.
*Visiting the dentist
It is important that you continue to see your regular dentist every six months, even during orthodontic treatment, for routine dental checkups and teeth cleanings. If extra care is needed, we are happy to coordinate with your dentist to ensure you are receiving the best care possible.
